Specialist Disability Accommodation
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) refers to accommodation for people with disabilities who require specialist accommodation solutions, including to assist with the delivery of supports that cater for their functional impairment or support needs.
Specialist Disability Accommodation is already being put on the ground across Australia and is being enrolled as Specialist Disability Accommodation by SDA Providers using compliance certificate that certify compliance with one of the following requirements;
SDA Design Standard ; or
If completed before 1st July 2021 SDA Minimum Requirements
While the SDA Design Standard is not mandatory until 1st July 2021, SDA Providers preferred option is achieving compliance with the SDA Design Standard and therefore we have ensured we have the necessary accredited assessors on the ground to provide this service.

Conducting desktop compliance assessment of the proposed SDA Design Category plans
Preparing and issuing SDA assessment advice report
Liaising with design team to facilitate solutions
Conducting desktop compliance assessment of the construction design SDA plans
Preparing and issuing LHA Certificate of SDA Design Category Compliance
Final-as-built Assessment – Certificate of SDA Final-as-built Category Compliance
Conducting desktop compliance assessment of the Final-as-built SDA Design Category plans
Prepare and issue Final-as-built advice report for the builders action
Liaise with builder to facilitate solutions
Where necessary receive amended Final-as-built documentation and conduct desktop assessment of the Final-as-built documentation
Conduct a Final-as-built compliance inspection of completed SDA building
